Mike Whitemiller acted as US host for us Canadians and the Irish contingent. He was always a perfect gentleman and generous with his time and valuables.
This is, bar none, one of my favourite portraits with regards to composition and content. Mike standing like the Burning Man and the two gigantic steel women throwing themselves prostrate and reduced to his scale worshipping Mike from the background.
A clear compositional border all the way around. The "L-shape" created by Mike and his shadow delineates the visual square in which the compositon is focussed.
I like this pic other than the dust and crap from the cooler soaking.
